Here you can look to see how your favorite game is doing... whether it's getting more popular or falling off the charts.

While the number of servers for COD4 has remained the same, for some reason the numbers for the Counter Strike series of games has gone up, even though, as noted below the number of hours played on those games has fallen.

Top 10 Most anticipated Games for 2009

TOP 10 Games coming in 2009

Swat 5 is not on this list which is a bit disappointing lol but the new Resident Evil looks awesome :P

    clicky here

#10 BioShock 2 will hopefully break new ground like BioShock did.

#6 Heavy Rain looks great but as GT (Game Trailers) points out it might be just a steady stream of QuickTime videos... but looks great.

#4 Uncharted 2: Among Thieves looks great but appears to be a 3rd person shooter.

#3 Resident Evil 5 also appears to be in 3rd person but has stunning graphics.

#2 Call of Duty 5 no information but based on it's promise as delivered with COD4 it makes the number 2 spot. Surely will continue to be filled with problems as COD4 was successful and the makers probably won't want to make too many changes for fear of superstition.

#1 God of War III isn't a first person shooter, but the graphics and experience looks truly amazing, reminds me of the Lord of the Rings movies.

    Re: Top 10 Listed Games

Top Ten 2007 Games from www.time.com posted HERE.

We are listing only those that we'd might be interested in... no Mario here

    _________________________________________________

    #1. Halo 3

    Company: Microsoft
    Platform: Xbox 360
    ESRB Rating: Mature
    $59.99 (2007 price?)

Like a pebble that has been rounded over the centuries by the gentle splashing of the ocean waves, Halo 3 has become the perfect hardcore first-person combat simulator. By dint of painstaking labor on the part of its developer, Bungie, it has been refined over three installments to the point where it delivers only pure, unadulterated gaming bliss. Every combat is even-sided and complex and can be waged in multiple ways, using an arsenal of long- and short-range weapons, plus grenades and hand-to-hand moves. Every level is perfectly paced and balanced and graced with soaring architectural compositions. Plus it's graphically gorgeous. The epic storyline and the stirring score don't hurt either. In one of the greatest years video gaming has ever seen, Halo 3 is the very best of the bunch.

    #2. The Orange Box

    Company: Electronic Arts
    Platform: Xbox 360, PC, PS3
    ESRB Rating: Mature
    $49.99 to $59.99 (2007 prices)

There are five things inside The Orange Box: Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2: Episodes One and Two, Portal, and Team Fortress 2. All share Half-Life 2's bleak, unsettling vision of a planet Earth devastated and defeated and picked over by horrific invading aliens, rendered by a beautiful physics engine and astonishingly evocative audio effects. The real surprise is Portal, a satanically innovative puzzle game involving a gun that creates wormholes that zap objects from place to place. And don't forget Team Fortress 2, a multiplayer shoot-'em-up where players take on different roles and character classes. Taken all together — or for that matter, even in pieces — The Orange Box is an astounding achievement.

    #5. BioShock

    Company: 2K Games
    Platforms: Xbox 360, PC
    ESRB Rating: Mature
    $49.99 to $59.99

Absolutely the best action-role playing game set in a ruined art-deco underwater city that you'll play this year. Beautifully written and acted, BioShock tells a rich, weird story about a metropolis beneath the waves, ruled by an Orwellian madman whom you must assassinate, through the medium of a complex combat system that involves modifying your own DNA in real-time to give yourself a rotating arsenal of superpowers.

    _________________________________________________

#6. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

    Company: Activision
Platforms: Xbox 360, PS3, PC, Nintendo DS
    ESRB Rating: Mature
    $29.99 to $59.99

As in the real world, war never ends in the Call of Duty series, and the latest entry renders battlefield experience with a dramatic power and immediacy and realism never seen before in any video game ever. Playing as a Marine and a British S.A.S., you'll be shunted around the globe, from battlefield to battlefield, Russia to the Middle East, taking the worst that modern warfare has to offer you, house to house and toe to toe, and spitting it right back.

    _________________________________________________

    #8. Mass Effect

    Company: Microsoft
    Platform: Xbox 360
    ESRB Rating: Mature
    $59.99 (2007 price)

Role-playing games aren't the hip thing in gaming these days, but Mass Effect brings back some of that old-school, story-driven, single-player magic. Set in a rich, original science-fiction universe, it approaches the long-sought-after ideal of game-as-interactive novel. You play a kind of galactic 007 agent on a mission to deal with another agent gone rogue. Choose a class, level up, earn weapons and armor, assemble your party, talk to startlingly realistic aliens. Mass Effect has all that good stuff that games used to be about before the Internet came along. Plus you get to shoot people — and there's an alien make-out scene.

    _________________________________________________

#9. Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation

    Company: Namco Bandai
    Platform: Xbox 360
    ESRB Rating: Teen
    $59.99

Whip through the skies in a succession of high-performance fighters, around peaks and over cities and under bridges, while surprisingly crafty foes dog you turn for turn. Isn't this what video games are for? The action is blisteringly fast-paced, and the landscapes and atmospheric effects are astonishingly vivid. You'll bliss out on the vapor trails the missiles leave even as they're snaking up your tailpipe.

All of these turn out to be 3rd person shooter titles. Gotta question what criteria Time is using to select these at the top 10.

    _________________________________________________
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lJIxpjXKd1g

    1. Grand Theft Auto IV

    3rd person shooter.

It's ironic that GTA became a football in the debate over *** and violence in video games, because where it belongs is in the debate over whether video games count as art. No game developers are more radical and more passionate about the storytelling power of their medium than folks at Rockstar North, and GTA IV is the company's most ambitious work ever. It's the story of Niko Bellic, an Eastern European soldier-for-hire fighting his way up the organized crime ladder in an archly satirical version of New Yo— I mean, Liberty City. It's a grade-A shoot-'em-up that doubles as an interactive novel and triples as a sly critique of American consumer culture.

    5. Gears of War 2

    3rd person shooter.

After all that time Marcus Fenix spent in Gears of War sawing Locusts in half the long way, you'd think he would have moved on to some less stressful activity like playing LittleBigPlanet. Actually not. Except for some new multiplayer modes, Gears of War 2 is remarkably similar to the first installment: lots of shooting and duck-and-covering and, yes, sawing, plus the usual hard-boiled gravelly-voiced dialogue. Not that this is in any way a problem. The main difference is that the backgrounds all this action happens in front of are now even more spectacular: ruined churches, soaring caverns, jagged mountains, airships made out of giant bugs. Sera never looked so good — maybe when Marcus is done killing Locusts he can finally retire there.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=67cTIWDuKXM

    6. Dead Space

    3rd person shooter.

The hero of Dead Space obviously never saw Alien, or he'd know not to answer distress signals from remote mining spaceships. Turns out the ship has been taken over by an evil and really gross alien menace that turns human corpses into horrible deformed zombies. Your job is to figure out what happened and fix it and not die while doing so. Dead Space doesn't break new ground, it's just bloody, scary survival horror at its finest — cool weapons, amazing environments, fast action, fantastic zero-G combat, no letup, no mercy.

    7. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

    3rd person shooter.

Evil Jedi walks into a room. Room is full of anonymous Stormtroopers, Jawas, rancors, etc. Does he (a) shock them to death with Force Lightning, (b) grab them with the Force and throw them against the walls and each other till they die, (c) kill them with a sweet light saber combo, (d) pull a passing TIE fighter out of the sky and smash it into them...I could go on. This game has flaws, but it's so unbelievably satisfying to cut loose with the Force, Jedi honor be damned, that the flaws don't really register. This is Star Wars without any Ewokkish sentimentality, and it's the best thing to happen to the franchise in years.

The more I watch these two guys the more I appreciate their reviews. Geared to XBox360 and PS games and titles, it's not for everyone, but certainly they give a great overview of what's new and whether the game is worth the bucks. I myself just fast forward through reviews of games that aren't of interest.

Check out their website and Subscribe... they'll send you an email announcing their latest video game review which is just a click away.

Re: REVIEW: Raw Game Play Reviews

Just got back from RGP's 1st year anniversary party and must say I had a great time. As you'd expect Cory and Michael were lively and kept the party fun, there were many console to try out many games, a nice lottery, good food and drink and people from all ages and backgrounds. A few people had traveled from pretty far away including one couple from the Caribbean.

Part of what was fun is Cory and Michael actually recorded a show with us guest as their audience, quite a treat to watch.

yeah, you'll probably be seeing a few mug shots of me although they said I was 'keeping a low profile to protect my identity' that wasn't exactly true, but one can understand the miscommunication considering how loud the DJ was playing the music . good times, and I hope we can put together a lan party or something together here in NYC some time in the future if only to have a little fun ourselves.

Like I said fun time 'in the hood' those guys really like 'street fighter'

and so which one was me? around 0:50 with the thumbs up.

They had a few new games of interest to me like Batman (not impressed) and one that escapes me atm but was impressive.

Best of PC Games 2010 -IGN

    http://bestof.ign.com/2010/pc/

It's been a year of huge sequels and underground surprises. Blizzard, after over a decade, finally dropped a sequel to StarCraft onto the market. Firaxis returned with another major entry into its revered Civilization strategy series. BioWare released one of the finest role-playing games of the generation. And DICE proved the Battlefield formula is just as fun as ever with the brilliant multiplayer in Battlefield: Bad Company 2. Mixed in with the high profile releases were a number of other great games from smaller studios, including Frictional's chilling Amnesia: The Dark Descent, which could be one of the scariest games, well, ever.

    Award Categories
Note: mostly 3rd person shooters like MassEffect2, and other massively multiplayer games like StarCraft2.

    Best Story

    Best Competitive Multiplayer
    Coolest Atmosphere
