Ever wanted to join a server and know for sure all the players are not cheating? This is usually only possible in gaming leagues using their own AC system, for example ESL wire.
A few months ago we decided that an easy to use, universal Anti-Cheat software needed to be readily available to the gaming community, to use with all games running through Steam linking your Steam ID to your AC account. This is what VirtualGuard - Anti Cheat (VGac) is all about, it allows you to play with anyone running VGac with the knowledge they are not cheating. The software is currently being trialed in a gaming league for CS:S and a BC2 server is requesting players join running VGac. The team behind VirtualGuard are some of the communities experts in cheat detection and prevention, and have combined their efforts to produce this open community project, remember though VGac was built primarily for cheat prevention not detection.

If you are a server admin and find it frustrating when you 'think' someone is cheating, but you have no proof - and so do not want to kick/ban them in the case they are legit, we believe that requesting a suspicious player to immediately leave and return with VGac running is a positive way to catch out those who are actually cheating. If we can make players running VGac the norm we can really hit back at cheaters, on the other hand it also allows players who are accused of cheating to link anyone to their VGac profile which is streamed live screenshots and memory scan results.
Are you a server admin?
If you want to support VGac let us know and we can add you to the supporters list. We believe that if a server admin can request to see someones VGac profile and they decline to provide it they have enough reasonable doubt to remove that player. If you get someone appealing on your forum regarding a ban - tell them to get VGac.
We are currently working on a VirtualGuard server monitor, which will allow server admins to stream ban lists from other sites, the program will alert you of players joining who are found on a ban list database, the app will also allow users to use in game commands such as !request admin, !report <player> <reason> and !message, all will be stored locally on the owners PC.
VGac is a client-side application, running on your machine and offering protection to you and your team-mates in online leagues and tournaments. It works by taking live in game screenshots and streaming them to your VirtualGuard profile, in your current game session, the program also actively scans for known processes and memory changes.
