TeamSpeak is flexible, powerful, scalable software which enables people to speak with one another over the Internet. TeamSpeak consists of both client and server software. The server acts as a host to multiple client connections, capable of handling literally thousands of simultaneous users. This results in an Internet based conferencing solution that works in a variety of applications such as team mates speaking with one another while playing their favorite online game, facilitating inter-office communication among co-workers, or simply for personal communication with friends and family.

How to download and install Teamspeak (http://goteamspeak.com/)

Part One How to Download and Install Team Speak:

GO to Teamspeak (http://goteamspeak.com/) Download
and click the client version to download Teamspeak, i find saving it to your desktop makes things easier ;)

Click the exe file to start the install.
next..there will be a pop up that says do you want to save or run this program, click "save" and next pick where you want to save it to it is easiest if you save it to your desktop. Now you can close out the web page and go to your desktop and find the icon that says "Ts2_client_rc2_2032" Click this icon to start the install process.

(if you have windows xp and have the service pack 2 you will get a pop up that says security warning are you sure you want to run this file") Click RUN

"This will install Teamspeak 2 do you wish to continue" Click YES

this will open the setup wizard click NEXT to continue

License Agreement--Click next to where it says I ACCEPT THE AGREEMENT then click NEXT

setup destination directory--C:Program FILES click NEXT

select start menu folder--dont change this just click NEXT

select additional tasks--check the box where it says "add desktop icon" click NEXT

ready to install--click INSTALL

when its done you get another popup that says Teamspeak Codec installer click NEXT 2nd popup will say if they need to be installed or not click NEXT then click FINISH

Part Two How to Connect to Teamspeak:

****An administrator will have to register you before you are to be allowed on teamspeak****

Click the Icon on your desktop (looks purple with little headphones on it) says TeamSpeak 2 RC2

This will open Teamspeak.click the tab on the top where it says connection...

under where it says "local address book" right click where it says server and "add server" name it =TDR= and where it says IP address put in our TS IP and put your name under nickname. Make sure to enter your correct Log-in name and Password.....Click connect and you will be connected to our Teamspeak server!

To switch to another channel in TeamSpeak just double click the channel you want to go on.

Part Three How to Configure Teamspeak:

Settings Menu -> Sound Input/Output Settings
In the Voice Send Method frame you want to make sure you choose
voice activation, unless you want to press a button to talk after you click press to talk you can set a key to talk.
Your voice activation should be set at or near whisper

Part Four If your having trouble:

Well hopefully this won't happen but just in case...

Nobody can hear you : Make sure mic is on...make sure your voice activation is correct, OR make sure you are pressing the right key to talk. and under "self" tab, make sure your microphone is NOT muted.

Cant connect to server : make sure the IP address is correct (on a side note the quick connect does NOT work for me i always have to click connect and then that opens up your local address book and then click connect at bottom of screen)

I hear static: Settings Menu -> Options
Make sure, on the Sound Devices tab Sound Driver
is set to "Wave". You'll want to do this as most PC
games use DirectSound to access your sound hardware, and when
you have two processes hammering DirectSound at once, it breaks up
and you're unable to hear what people are saying . Click Ok.

Hope this helps!!

p.s. you might also want to turn DOWN the master volume in the mohaa main menu screen, so that way its a little easier to hear your teammates

Mohawk was designed purely with simplicity in mind. The application requires far less computer resources (CPU/RAM) compared to other leading applications. This reduces game lag caused by low FPS (frames per second) due to high computer resource consumption.

While requiring less resources, Mohawk continues to provide high quality audio, that is generally clearer than competing products. Used by professionals, gamers, and the average Joe alike, Mohawk gets the job done without interfering with your productivity, or lack thereof.

Mohawk is highly optimized to ensure minimal CPU usage. Compared to other Voice over IP solutions, Mohawk uses 40% to 75% less bandwidth and CPU utilization. That gives you more resources for your applications, projects or games.

Here is the link for the latest Mohawk Client build.

To use Mohawk during the Beta phase, follow these simple directions:

1) Extract the files to a Folder, and click on "MohawkClient.exe"
2) Hit "OK" on the box which pops up, and name the connection "MohawkPublicServer"
3) Enter the "Server IP Address" as, and port 9150.
4) Enter any username you like. Hit "OK" at the bottom right.
5) Click "Yes"

Mohawk is now fully setup. You can click the "Connect" button at the top right to connect to the Mohawk Public Server operated by us!

With the very simple menu on Ventrilo site, you have access to a lot of informations. including a F.A.Q. a Setup section and a monster forum. For that reason, I won't put more details here for the moment, except someone ask for help concerning a specific problem he's unable to fix. Good luck!
