Server Surfing

Question: What is Server Surfing?

Answer: Server Surfing is anyone who wants to join us visiting a lot of game servers, to boost their fun and ours. It's great to meet new people, to play on a variety of servers and be challenged by new rules of engagement and to perhaps find a new favorite home. Join us surfing some fun game servers.

Find in our forum the board your favorite game where you'll see our Server Surfing thread and list of servers. Jump on your surf board and try 'em out and let us know what you think.

It's easy to copy and paste the server's IP into your xFire favorites to launch.

We're ready to accept your clan's servers, be sure to post your clan info (follow guidelines) and server IPs in our Clan Network (http://www.hackhunters.com/forum/index.php?board=6.0) first and post in the ServerSurfing game thread as well.

1) Follow the Rules of the server you are playing on.

2) Do not comment about how they run their own server.

3) Follow our Code Of Conduct.

4) Deal with the ping... ;)

5) Update your PB if necessary, go to EvenBalance and download their PB SetUp Tool (http://www.evenbalance.com/index.php?page=pbsetup.php)

6) Bring along your -HH- tags if you wish, or not.

7) Have Fun!

NOTICE: All Servers must be running PunkBuster by EvenBalance at a minimum or whatever Anti Cheat is appropriate for the games listed. If you see a server listed and it is not running an Anti Cheat, let us know so we can remove it.

Remember, PunkBuster is just the core of AntiCheat... to fully protect your servers you should also run one or more other AntiCheats like PBBans, AON, ACI, PsB, GV or others. It is these second party AntiCheats that do the real banning of cheaters, not PB. Check our ACO Directory for more information.

Thanks for your participation,

The HackHunters Team

Great job getting this organized.

Just to let people know where the Server Surfing threads are, go to the Game Board of the game you're interested in, and look for the sticky topic in that board... pretty easy to find.

Here's direct links to the Server Surfing threads for the following games:

HH Favorite Servers Featured on our xFire Site

Server Surfing has a new avenue to feature great servers and that is on our XFIre satellite site here: http://www.xfire.com/communities/hackhunters/

Now when you launch XFire on your desktop, assuming you're a member of our XFire Community, you'll be able to click on the servers button and click on HackHunters favorite servers to check out what we've discovered. There's quite a variety and all are fun.

Select the server for your game and click on JOIN. That's it.

For clans wanting to be a part of this, make sure your server banners are showing up in the Clan Network. Thanks for all the contributions.

I just unplug my monitor and hit the waves :o

Actually I'm looking into another way of doing our Server Surfing thing... we need a way for servers to show up on our Home Page, and to acknowledge what they are streaming, like ACI, PBBans, PsB, VAC, GGC or whatever, and perhaps what cities the servers are in (better ping options). Anyone think they can create a search tool for this?
