We have a new Board devoted to the SPSC Computer Technology Lessons.

SP stands for Speed Performance and SC stands for Security Center. Both important ingredients to keeping your gaming rig running efficiently.

These lessons are designed to be easy to follow tutorials of things you can do to improve your Speed Performance and Security Center of your computer. Each one is worth reading and applying to your own computer. Of course you will find more information about computers in the Computer Tech board but we suggest following the lessons as they are posted once every month, giving you a small 'thing to do' regarding improving your own computer.

You can find the new SPSC board HERE (http://www.hackhunters.com/forum/index.php?board=71.0), located in the MRE Main Board, these are easy to digest Meals Ready to Eat!

New Home Page Video Format

Did you know?

When you click on the YouTube video image that is posted on the Home Page:

that you are directed to a new page which allows you to see the video in full screen?

It's pretty cool so check it out. Don't click the above image, instead go to the Home Page: www.HackHunters.com. Enjoy the new format.

Website Images Updated to GIF's

Our website has a new but hard to recognize change to it...

All the images have been changed from JPG's to GIF's to speed up the loading of each page. For many of the images that's a 30x increase of speed. We changed about 20 pages with about 16 images per page plus reformatting to decrease the overall width of the page to fit a more standard window dimension. Hopefully for those visiting us for the first time, that haven't cached the images already will find navigation fast and easy.

Future updates include doing the same for the forum. Adding a Home Page for the forum for special announcements and updating all the secondary images of the forum. Any suggestions are welcome.

Forum Changes: Login to see additional topics.

You'll notice that many of the boards that were open to Guests now require you to login to see. Registration is fast and easy for the forum and you can always 'stay logged in' to make it easy for you to visit us in the future.

Our registration process does not require an email verification and we never check, nor can we, your password.

The Main Boards that are no longer visible to Guests include MRE's (Meals Ready to Eat which include our tutorials and Computer Tech info), Game Source and Topic.

In keeping with the above, we've moved the Clan Network and GameOn! boards to the 'open to guests' General Topics board to encourage participation.

We hope all these changes will encourage people to login and participate.

Refresh your browser when visiting the forum...

You should be able to see our Shout Box, Clan Donators, Affiliates and our new Board Banners:

There are also a hand full of other minor tweaks.

Changing of PNG forum images to GIF images. I gave this a try and changed the forum style sheet, but today after doing so experienced a few slow-downs. Not sure if the change caused them or not, but the GIFs and the Style Sheet is completed so I will try it on another day to see if it works. For now it'll be PNG images.

If you know something about this topic, like you have to change something else besides just the index.php file, let me know. Thanks.

New Video webpage, New Music webpage, New xFire Community look with additional games and our favorite community servers listed

Featured Video Page:
We've created a special page where we can see all the videos HackHunters has produced. It also has the ability to feature member submitted videos, including videos created using xFire recording tool.

http://www.hackhunters.com/10_homepage/movie_curtainlink.gif (http://www.hackhunters.com/10_homepage/featuredmovies/featuredmovie_1.html)

Featured Music Playlists
We've created a special webpage just for our categorized music playlist. Now clan admins can quickly find some great tunes for their own players they can post on their clan home pages.

http://www.hackhunters.com/10_homepage/musicplayerlink.gif (http://www.hackhunters.com/10_homepage/music.html)

HackHunters @ xFire:
We've created a new look for our community, allowing people to link to our main site if they click the banner, or submit a report on a suspect if they choose that button. If also highlights much of what we offer. The design is based on our own website. Limits in the amount of coding allowed by xfire has limited us somewhat, and we are trying to resolve some minor graphic problems. Below though it does look sweet.

Click here to see it in real life: http://www.xfire.com/communities/hackhunters/

more new graphics? is that it?

Heck No! While it might be almost impossible for someone on the outside to understnad exactly what HackHunters does, considering we don't directly ban cheaters or stream to servers, let me reassure everyone by letting you know we are making a difference. While some of the more aggressive things we do I will not disclose, the 'soft stuff' I can tell you is having a real impact. For instance, have you noticed more and more cheater YouTube accounts are being shut down? Have you? Well take notice already. Yes you can still find many videos, but the percentages of closed YouTube accounts is rising. Is this important? You bet it is. Hack creators are out there for two reasons, their ego, and to make money. They satisfy both of these through promotions. YouTube is the dominate public domain for disseminating information.

And on the horizon will be our Master Directory of all the YouTube hacker accounts still active which we will share with the entire 'honest' gaming community, so all gamers can help us with our efforts to undermine their credibility and put them in the place they belong.

So if you're wondering, are we really doing anything, just take a look at our 'who's online list' and acknowledge to yourself that there are quite a few Trusted Associates from other AntiCheat Organizations which stop by to see what's happening.... remember, HackHunters is in the shadows. And the graphics? Well it reflects that we are constantly busy and take what we do seriously.

If you're a cheater, one day you'll get a little knock on your virtual door by one of our associates. It'll be a polite little 'hello' and that'll be it, just to let you know we noticed you, and that'll be it for you as.... ;) ;D

and this is NOT how you server surf:

Check it out. Works great with common holidays and everyone's bday. We can also link to it from posts people make. Enjoy.

New Forum Feature: TeamSpeak, see link on the right hand column.

We've had TeamSpeak for awhile, but it broke... now it's back. Lets make the most of it for enjoyment, coordination, HH meetings and even some Server Surfing. Enjoy.

Website Home Page Update:

We've made some changes to our home page, including adding the Stop-Cheats.com banner, removal of our dis-functioning google ads, and our Twitter Account link which now functions like it should of from the begining (we had changed our twitter name from HackHuntersACO to HackHunters (with the help from twitter allowing us to take over a dead account with our name, which broke some of the links we had from our site). We can also tweet directly from our forum, and those tweets show up on our home page (very cool).

Stop-Cheats.com initiative: We are essentially on schedule for our official release (which basically is HackHunters drive to push this petition to new heights). We still need a few more Anti Cheat Organizations to sign on (may delay us slightly) and have to organize the actual news release to websites all over (where the real effort takes place). Help us make this a success by posting the announcement where ever you can think of (if not already posted). Go here for more info: Forum > What We Do > AntiCheat Initiatives > Stop-Cheat petition thread.

Our YouTube channel just received a makeover, check it out.

We are alternating between our videos and the videos we have favorited. There is a huge selection of great videos to look at and check out and we're honored to bring them to your attention. Among our favorites you'll find breaking news, great mods, funny moments and new cutting edge stuff.

There are people out there putting their best foot forward creating really exciting works, unlike those we continue to try to turn around who have bad attitudes. For cheaters, let some of our favorite videos be a reminder that you are wasting your life, whereas they are not.

www.punksbusted.com (http://www.punksbusted.com) is now an affiliate of HackHunters. As such we are updating our affiliate links. You can find a direct link in the right column of our forum, along with a few other affiliates who hadn't made it to the forum yet.

We are very proud to have this affiliation with such a great powerhouse in the AntiCheat world. It brings HackHunters closer to the center and thus will hopefully make us more useful to more AntiCheat efforts.

Not-For-Profit Status update: We're still working on getting our nonprofit status. The delay has to do with figuring out our particulars with regards to this organization and a few other satellite efforts which will be linked to HackHunters.

The goals will remain the same for HackHunters, stopping cheating and encouraging fair play in multiplayer online gaming, thus not only making the experience more fun for everyone but creating the conditions for camaraderie which enhances everyone's life-long experiences.

Some of the other satellite efforts we're setting up will include other 'real-life' issues that improve the overall quality of people's lives and include:

Anti-Bullying Effort; to find avenues to identify and address attitudes that lead to bullying;
Safe Road usage for pedestrians, bicycles and vehicles, that while online gaming allows one to 'go nuts', that in the real world we will be encouraging expert skills that lead to professional behavior;
Design of roads to increase safety from this point of view (to bring ideas to life). And we literally mean the design aspects of roads, bike lanes, sidewalks, vehicle design, signaling systems and other things that can help people avoid collisions;
Cyber Gaming Cafe to provide a safe environment for young adults to enjoy gaming and all that it has to offer, thus building communities while teaching computer basics.
Basics of learning life's lessons regarding safety for the very young, to help them comprehend the real world and learn the rules that will keep them physically safe from potentially life changing events, especially around roads. Our goal here is to create lessons that can be adopted by schools around the world.

In regards to the above, we have a working website that will be officially announced once all the parts are functional.

While HackHunters deals with an online experience, our goal is to create bridges into the real world. We think that the above provides the avenues to allow this to happen. In the end it's about preparing people to become responsible adults, giving them the tools to have a productive, happy and trauma free live.

HackHunters Forum: We will make visible all boards up to and including Division E, to encourage more activity on the site.

HackHunters Graphics Makeover: Finally, once we get our Nonprofit status and get other projects set up we will give HackHunters a total makeover, hopefully with the help of donations.

Positions: The above should be a clue that we will need people to step up and take on more responsibility. We still have a plan here at HH that just hasn't been implemented based on the Divisions as noted in our boards

01-02-2014, 12:40 AM
Now the public boards should be visible without having to login. This should help generate some additional interest and encourage people to log in and post. If I didn't mention the delay was to give us time to deal with spammers registering which has been totally accomplished.

Thanks for the initial feedback on the above post via PM's to me. It noted that some boards are not visible to even Captains.

I have therefore gone back through the permissions

01-02-2014, 11:22 AM
Thank GB all seen now
