This song, the end song for Portal (1), Still Alive is kind of appropriate for the current political climate we're living in now. Here's why:

The song, from GLaDOS's (which is a play on DOS operating system and to me the word glad, as in the computer acts glad to see you but is actually trying to kill you), tells of scientists role in developing technology by offering people 'cake' (the carrot) to get them to do things that may and probably will kill them, in order to make a neat gun that those who are still left alive can use.

How does that relate to our current policies in the USA? Well they're quickly deregulating coal mining, hunting and other things that protect our environment for the benefit of a few. The pollution from coal itself can and will probably result in deaths. The deregulation of poisons like DDT will probably kill off bees and other things we need in a balanced world for the benefit of a few.... and then here we have the song which pretty much laid it out, but not with responsible science, more like mad science.

that line at the beginning:

We do what we must
because we can.
For the good of all of us.
Except the ones who are dead.

But there's no sense crying
over every mistake...

:D :D :D

UPDATE: Portal 2 Ending Credits music, enjoy!
