There's a flurry of new games just released or on the horizon that look pretty good. Some are just games you may have overlooked.

Post your favorites of 2015 here.

There's a flurry of new games just released or on the horizon that look pretty good.

One game I just did was FarCry4. Not as good as FarCry3 imo but at the right price would be worth checking out. http://far-cry.ubi.com/en-us/home/

Also, an extension of Rising Storm (WWII) game is a new one set in Vietnam called Rising Storm 2. The thing about this game is it's multiplayer playability. Good full servers, some team work and just fun WWII gaming. I'm not sure when RS2 will release. http://www.tripwireinteractive.com

Part of the Tripwire gaming family is Killing Floor 2. Zombies.

Battlefield Hardline (Battlefield series) looks like cop and robbers. Tbh this one doesn't interest me as much and I think it trying to capture some of the GTA crowd maybe.

Rainbow Six Siege, cops.

COD Advanced Warfare. Mechanized urban future warfare.

Doom: Reveal. Doom game but way updated with graphics. http://doom.com

Dead Island 2. Zombies slashed up.

Get Even. Looks like modern warfare, but with a psychological twist I think… hard to tell at this point. http://www.getevengame.com

There's a lot of talk about Dying Light: Good Night, Good Luck. a zombie apocalypse but with the movement physics where you can jump around on top of buildings, like parkor. http://dyinglightgame.com

Evolve (from creators of Left 4 Dead) looks to be a squad based game (4 classes to chose from) and a cross of Quake. I hope they didn't loose the fun of L4D2 which had some great zombie characters and was placed in a real world setting. This world of zombies looks futuristic (fantasy). Let me say this, when a game bases itself on how other games work, they're bound to be disappointing. That is the fault of the developers of Crysis who's first game was pretty authentic, but out of desperation started copying other games and characters to a point where it lost all empathy of the players engagement with the game. Valve has always made great games, so lets hope this one pulls it off.

Halo 5: Guardians, I always love the release trailers for Halo games, as they present one aspect of what I'm looking for in a game, adventure into the unknown. But I've never pulled the trigger and purchased a Halo game as it always turns into an arena game type. That mode was great during the doom, quake era of gaming, but it's too confined and less immersive imo (this is part of the trouble I'm having with the latest COD games, which COD2 was limited on the size of maps we could have, later versions of COD keep the mentality of arena games cut up like swiss cheese keeping players always moving or else they would be outflanked and shot. Not very sporting or user determined imo). Halo 5 trailer looks awesome (so what), show me what you're really made of.

I'm hoping against hope that Medal of Honor Allied Assault will be remade in realistic expansive open world mode with thousands of bots completing the immersion of the World War II experience. I'm sure we'll get more modern or future games, but that one has huge potential because of it's scope.

That said, there are in fact some massive multiplayer games already playing, but many of these require some serious learning and equipment. Maybe I'll make a post on some of those games later.

more games.

I was like, cool new games, then further research I discover that some are actually 3rd person shooter games. Those previews can be misleading sometimes. :(

Note I do not know the platforms of these games, and in fact may be xbox games. Some I know are on PC.

3rd person game:
The Division (TomClancy's) by Ubisoft set in Brooklyn Dumbo area (near bridges) looks very real. Society set on itself. The detail of the game looks great, but it's hard to tell if this is open world or follow the path type of game. https://www.ubisoft.com/en-US/game/the-division/
https://youtu.be/vOMB4Oi5_HI

3rd person game:
MadMax by WB. Looks like 3rd person. 1st person in vehicles, sniper. Open wasteland. Sept. 1, 2015.

Mirror's Edge 2. http://www.mirrorsedge.com. Feb. 2016. Like Mirror's Edge 1, but on steroids. Looks awesome, the game story looks more developed too.
https://youtu.be/IsDX_LiJT7E

Overkill's The Walking Dead. 2016. Has the music similar to Left 4 Dead 2.

3rd person game:
Quantum Break. 2016. Freeze time, to inspect the scene of destruction. Detail looks really great.

Routine. mid-2016. Looks dark, scary, RUN! Set in the future, has a bit of iRobot feel to it. http://routinegame.com Routine is a First Person Horror Exploration game set on an abandoned Moon Base.

World War 2 games.

Enemy Front. It's new, detailed, but looks limiting in it's map sizes.

Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad, and Rising Storm (it's sequel) are good multiplayer games, but the graphics are dated.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein. (not played, old version).

Wolfenstein: The New Order. I wanted to give this game series a try, so I played it a while back. Forgot all about it until now, party because of it's premiss of fighting against an evil scientist technology in a 'what if the nazi's won the war'. Truth is the German's were developing technology, so why make it up. Why not use real world events to give a game plausibility?

Hidden and Dangerous 2. I don't know this game, but looks based on old gaming engine technology. Looks like you have a squad you can direct.

Of course there are the standards:
COD 2
MOH: AA and it's franchise.
Brother's in Arms: Hell's Highway had better graphics but failed in the graphic icons area making it seem like a cartoon rather than an immersive experience.

I kind of wish Crytek would do WW2 with their engine, but given how they like cartoon characters they would probably mess it up and rush it out the door.

Do you have a particular Mohaa server you play on? I would love to find some time to play a game or two. Does Xfire even still work? Mine doesn't seem to want to connect.

Hi victory,

I think you should try Red Orchestra and it's extension Rising Storm. Great game and an extension of MOHAA and COD2 imo. Good gaming, WWII and has a lot of easy to use features that make this game a good one to try. I like that the games are essentially King's Push type of game play, so you're essentially playing 5 parts of the maps, one at a time.
