It's frustrating to see how many viruses were created since the last 5 years. That's why it is very important to never download something you suspect on your personal PC (do this only at work ;D).

Seriously, be sure your antivirus program is up to date. Just in case, take the time on a regular base to read when the last update was done, especially if you're using a free antivirus.

Also, you should always scan the software you download on your PC before the installation.

I'm sure you ever seen different kind of popup windows opening with messages like "Your PC is infected, you should do a scan right now...." "You have a dangerous virus on your PC, download XXXXX now to remove it..." Plz don't listen what they ask you to do. Trust only official antivirus!

When you have doubt, the best is to search on the NET before, especially on sites offering tools to remove viruses.

I think AVG is the best.

Norton didn't detect a few viruses I had, yet AVG did.

I know alot of people who say the same things, Norton is pretty bad.

McAfee or AVG ;)
