Just thought I'd start a Music thread, its a winner on getting people to find similarities. I would suggest everyone post their top 5 bands + Top 5 CD's + Top 5 Songs.

I love music, but I am not a big CD buyer and I don't really listen to specific bands. If I like a song, I but it from iTunes or get it from a friend if he has the album. Here are my top 5 songs at the moment.(In a dance/club mood at the moment ;))

1) Forever by Chris Brown
2) Everytime We Touch by Cascada
3) What You Got by Colby O'Donis feat Akon
4) Dangerous by Kardinal Offishall feat Akon
5) Russian Privjet by Basshunter

I like quite a variety.

I play and compose on the piano as a pass time.

here's a playlist... let's see if it works... just click on the pop-out player... it's a real mixture of semi-new and old:

Personal Playlist:

You're going to say, "Rock Lobster???" well, I revived a party once with that tune when in college... walked in to a totally dead party, walked over to the record player (yep, I'm old), tossed the sleeper and popped on Rock Lobster, grabbed a girl as did my mates, and we got the place hopping :).

Roam convinced me to go ahead and visit a friend I had in Thailand... the power of music!
Polonaise by Chopin I play on the piano along w/ Mendelssohn and Macgregor.
Some of the others I'm more interested in the melodic or musical qualities... i'm not big on lyrics as many ppl are.
Jimi Hendrix certainly one of the greatest musicians in our era, imho.

So, Post your songs people so we can expand the HH playlsit! ;D

07-07-2008, 08:30 AM
I could hear your playlist all right! How do I add my songs now? Must I create my own? Or just click add? :D

07-07-2008, 11:42 AM
You should create your own, it's pretty easy to register, then I can click your Add+ button from your list to transfer a song to my list.

Below the list of songs in my playlist there is a link "Create your own FREE music playlist for your profile!".

I think there is a way for me to create other playlists (I can put your name on it), but in this way I would control what goes on it... I think it's still better if you create your own, this way when you visit HH you can have your tunes playing in the background. :)

I found that if you do a google search of 'greatest hits' or '90's greatest hits' or 'one hit wonders' etc. you can find lists for a lot of music, then going to PLAYLISTS, you can do a search for the song you like, listen to it first and then click on the + button to add it to your own playlist.

Here's mine.

Ok, try this.

07-08-2008, 11:34 AM
NOTE: Make sure you copy the url from the StandAlone player... it should look something like this:

totally cool MoNsTeReNeRgy.

A lot of gangsta rap i see you like. Missed my generation... lol. Kinda great to be able to actually listen to the music rather than just read the titles. Playlist is also great for adding something you hear to your own list.

I know a few I have on my own list I'm already to remove... lol. along with the add button, they need a remove button.

I added a few of yours to my playlist, my favs were Boten Anna and O oh Ahh by Grits... we might make this our HackHunter theme song.

Check out our new Home Page... be sure to refresh the page and if you like you can click on the 'pop out player' to have music while you cruising the site. Enjoy!

And thanks for the lead song MonsterEnergy!

anyone else who has a great playlist, post it so we can grab some of your fav's for the HH site.

Sweeeet, I'm glad at least you like some of my music :P

07-10-2008, 01:05 AM
I just made a tentative play list. The second song, "Who are the Brave", I sang at our area choral Festival last year. It was a blast in our all mens chorus of over 50 people!

Ok Inferno, here's a playlist for your songs... nice. HARD ROCK!

I don't know the artist for The Odyssey, also check the rest to see if i got them right... add more to your original post and I add them to your playlist, unless you make one yourself.

Kevlar, nice selection of music. I'm pretty sure I used one or two in our playlist.

Also chrissy, I made one for you which I posted in your post.

Okay, who's next ;)

07-11-2008, 03:50 AM
Oh thank you so much Greenbean that was nice of you to have made me a playlist, I have just listend to the songs. :) :D ;D :) :D ;D

07-20-2008, 05:10 PM
The popout player works best for me, but you PC users I suspect the other players work just as well. Please post at least the popout player and if you use the other formats, just mark them with WMV or other...

So, anyone else have some fav tunes to share?

If you can't create one for whatever reason, just list the artist name and song name, I'll do my best to create a playlist for you. You can then post it on your MySpace, website, etc. and have some music to cruise our site with... or play online with!

A lot of good music on here there is no doubt about that ;) but if I may make one suggestion these players come with the option to start automatically or to start when you hit play I think if you all changed it to start when you hit play it might work out better for this thread instead of having all of the players start at one time just a suggestion :) and if you're using the same players somewhere else with the same code and you needed to start automatically there . Then perhaps make a different player with the same songs and set it not to autostart for here

08-03-2008, 02:24 PM
Something is wrong with these players... i think the makers changed the code or something. ;D ;D ;D

We'll have to shut them off as you suggested. Thanks for bringing it to our attention.

Wow, that was weird to have them all playing at the same time. Playlist.com apparently changed the code making all the players start automatically.

I've turned them all off... some have links you can click on to open a new window while others you'll have to copy the URL into your browser and take out the ****.

Nice Choice Sneaky

Got your playlist sneaky posted above...

keep posting people, these are great songs... it'll become a great resource for our Tina Madness Vids too.

I've added many new tracks to our list. I don't know if anyone is using the playlist, but I like to click on the 'pop-out' player and listen to the music while I work... certainly helps the hours go by in a more pleasant way. :)

HackHunters has 100 songs in it's playlist!

Actually we have several playlists now with several hundred selections!

Some links might be broken, we'll fix them.

It's quite a variety to reflect the diversity of all our members, but one thing holds true, they're all great songs. We're working on a second list. You can visit our PlayList Site here and check them all out: http://www.playlist.com/user/30261840/view

If you're a member, be sure to add us to your PlayList 'Buddy List'.

TIP: Play music in the background while playing COD4 or another game... pretty cool and relaxing, which will help your score. Just don't turn the music up too loud. ;)

If you're looking for more, check out our 2nd Playlist: http://view.playlist.com/12349441803/standalone

You guys ever see the movie "we were soldiers" with Mel Gibson? Here's the theme song, MP3 about 2MB's:

MUSIC: http://www.hackhunters.com/forum/z_misc/music/FlyingHigh.mp3

might be good for one of our Machinima's (Machinima is a combination of Machine and Cinema... i.e., movies made not with real people but characters from the computer to tell stories, as in using COD4 or another game to tell a story)...

MOVIE VIDEO PREVIEW: http://www.imdb.com/video/screenplay/vi451019033/

This one's better than the preview and includes the music:

BTW, we now have several PlayLists to HackHunters name, focusing on a variety of genres... not only for our users to enjoy but also for any Video Machinima's we do... i hope to also collect a bunch of sound effects we and others can use.

The above post on 'We Were Soldiers" theme music is on one of our new Playlists along with a lot of other 'war' themes. I'm building a collection to be used in upcoming Tina's Madness Vids.

On another note, I had posted on Playlist the need for them to improve the graphics of their players... the buttons, etc. Today they did a beta release of their new player and website...

Here's an example of the what the new player looks like along w/ another collection of songs...

Wow theres a lot of Enya on that playlist. I love Enya awesome music to relax to but when Im playing I like to listen to something with a bit more go in it. I love

Fort Minor - Remember the name
Stuck on repeat - Little Boots
Love Me or Hate Me - Lady Soverign
The Potion - Ludacris

Awesome songs to play to :P

01-31-2009, 11:51 AM
lol, there is a bit of Enya isn't there...

It's good for work, sometimes for movies creating the right mood which we attempt to do every so often. We do collect a lot of different songs depending on where we hope to use them. Our home page is overdue for a change too.

I was rather enjoying the music you all have posted on your site. Playlists is great.

02-01-2009, 12:33 PM
