We are working on a new event to say thanks to everyone who is registered on our forums and other sites, like xfire and gametracker, by giving out a bunch of free games.

Sounds great, right?

We are definitely still working out the details and scheduling, but it looks like it might happen in the fall, hopefully early fall but tbh it is hard to predict at this time. Still if you want to be qualified I'd suggest getting signed up at all of our sites (to increase your chances of winning), and especially our new HackHunters Steam Community.

Steam seems to be the easiest way to actually send people games without the investment in postage and all the coordination that would cause (including keeping your identity and ours private)... saving us time and money so we more money to purchase more games to award (that sounds great too, hey?).

The titles we're considering range the gamut, from a few 'top prizes top titles' to some B-rated games. Top prizes will probably be reserved for those who are signed up on all sites, GT, xFire, Forum and Steam (i.e. it's the special thanks we can give).

So get signed up because the portal for delivery looks more and more like Steam: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/HackHunter

About Steam:
If you don't have Steam you should know it's pretty easy to install. It basically is a store that allows you to buy games and download them directly to your computer. They also offer communities, your own profile page and a host of other things including their own game titles like Half-Life, Left 4 Dead, Team Fortress, Portal and many others. They even have their own Anti Cheat called VAC (Valve Anti Cheat). They also service PunkBuster game titles, so you can say it's kind of an open network for gaming that will automatically download updates for your game titles that have been purchased and downloaded through Steam.

The Steam client is free to download and use, you only buy the games, or in our case we will be 'gifting' games to other Steam users that have signed up to our Steam community.
